What to do with it all!

As most of you know I have moved and it was no easy task. The sewing room alone took half a truck a big truck! Between sewing cabinets, threads, cutting tables, bookshelves, machines, and of course the 2 Gammill long arms I wonder why I never took up something less evasive like embroidery or knitting. Now that it is here what am I going to do with it all? to start I did not overwhelm myself. I helped get the room ready which took entirely took long and still is not finished. the long arms were moved into place then I got the thread cabinets in place and filled, I will do the bookshelves next. My husband thought I was too picky about storing my threads, but I like to have them in order so that when I look and there is an empty space, I know what color I am out of should I not place the empty spool to remind me when I order. Now I love books and I have several and there are women feeding my addiction calling when they are at yard sales or fabric sales to ask me if I want a particular quilting, embroidery or lesson book. I don't need any more books! So, as I get ready to fill the bookshelves I wonder are there any that I need to donate or sell at my upcoming yard sale? I also find I have books like longarm designs that maybe should be with my long arm rulers. So, I am trying to use my space better. When I find something like paper piecing items, fabric glue, hand quilting thread those will go into a box marked by subject such as "HANDWORK". We have all wandered our spaces looking for items we know are supposed to be right where we put them. Right? well not always so let's get things organized. I plan to hang my long arm rulers near the long arms, and my quilting rulers will be near my cutting table. so those will be hung last, I don't want a bunch of holes in my walls because I know me, I will change my mind and drive my poor husband crazy, and I would prefer not to do that ha-ha.

When I was packing to move, I found fabric, parts to my air conditioner and jellybeans. and lots of other odd things in my bookshelf draws. When I would clean and if fit in that draw there it went so yes, I need to really go through my boxes and organize. Simply getting rid of items doesn't organize your space if you find odd items you're not sure what to do with put them in a box and when your finished cleaning really ask yourself where should this go? Do I use it? Do I even remember why I have it? Give it away to someone that if the time comes and you do figure out what you needed it for you can borrow it back ha-ha. Ok so on to the bookshelves and let's remember not to overwhelm yourself have your organization boxes read and have fun.
